🌿 About Me

Hi, I’m Shakira

I’m 23, currently figuring out life one step at a time — and documenting it here on Twentyish.

💭 My Story

For as long as I can remember, I thought I wanted to be a doctor. My parents were thrilled, and I worked hard all through my teens, eventually studying medical biochemistry at university.

But once I was there, I realised that path wasn’t really me. It took a lot of courage (and support from my now-boyfriend 💛) to admit that my goals had changed. I left uni in my second year, tried the corporate 9–5 world, and quickly discovered that wasn’t right for me either.

Now, I’m exploring what truly makes me feel proud and fulfilled. I’ve realised that I love working with children, and I’m searching for a career that allows me to help people in a meaningful, everyday way.

✨ What You’ll Find Here

🌸 Why Twentyish?

Your twenties are full of trial and error, growth, and a little bit of chaos. I don’t have it all figured out (not even close), but I want to share my experiences so that anyone reading feels a little less alone in figuring it out too.

💕 Thanks for Being Here

If you’re also in your twenties (or just remember what it was like), I hope my stories feel like a cosy chat with a friend. Let’s stumble through this decade together.
